Insurance Claims

Need to know what insurance claims are?  Insurance claims are the applications to your insurance company for benefits provided in your plan.  If you have an accident and need repair work done or hospital bills paid as stipulated in your insurance policy, you must first file an insurance claim.  The insurance company will assess the insurance claim, and may or may not approve it.  Typically, you will file an insurance claim with a local representative of your insurance company.  That agent will investigate the details surrounding your insurance claim. Sometimes, you may choose not to file an insurance claim if the damage was minor.
